Lines: 13 I have written the answer to your problem, namely an expiring program that is based on disk space rather than time. You say, "keep 10000 blocks, toss the rest". With minor mods the program could be keyed into inews itself, so that it keeps a list of the articles that are due to go, and every time inews gets a new article, it dumps enough space (and keeps track of the balance) so that your news disk or inode usage is always constant to within one article.
