I'll make this brief since it's not really appropriate to this newsgroup.
People interested in pursuing the phenomenon of consciousness in humans
(which is, I believe the subject of the above response) might be interested
in reading _The_Origin_of_Consciousness_in_the_Breakdown_of_the_Bicameral_
Mind by Julian Jaynes. Although his theories are far from widely accepted,
it is a beautifully written book and a challenging one in that your own
level of consciousness may come under question.
