PostScript seemed to be the most reasonable of these, however, PostScript previewers are not generally available yet. The great majority of respondants agreed that for the moment, MacPaint format was the most universally acceptable. Several people also pointed out the existance of MacPaint format translators for a variety of systems, including PC's, Xwindows, imprint, etc, etc. Remember: this is only supposed to be a stop gap measure until somebody (*it could be you!*) desings and implements a general schematic transfer format. Since I am not familar with the various translators, this would be a good time for knowledgable people to step forward and post their experiences! (But do keep in mind that this is sci.electronics; we don't really need to know the inner details of the MacPaint format, etc.) Maybe we can wipe out character graphics schematics forever!
