Why are cranes less interesting than the latest idle speculation about
cosmology?  At least now I can explain to my daughter how the hell those
things get to the tops of 40 story buildings.

I have to agree that the quality of the magazine has gone down.  Even
the physical characteristics are bad (the cover seems especially prone to
disengaging itself).

Try New Scientist for more fun. Nature for more science.
