I believe the present method is to smoke the bees. Anyway, a person I know who is a beekeeper heard that a 600Hz vibration may be used to pacify the bees instead of smoke. I am assuming that the method used to cause the vibration would be a loud 600Hz tone produced by a battery powered speaker. I am interested in finding out if it is worth the effort to try this, or if it would be a waste of time. Any information would be appreciated. Jim Peterson Tektronix Inc.
