The GENED program has been revised to allow the user to use the
3-letter amino acid code.  Previously, the 3-letter code could not be
used with amino acids beginning with the letter L.  Therefore, the use
of the XGENED program as a work-around is no longer necessary.

Please do not continue to use XGENED; it is undergoing extensive revision.
