The fastest speed was done by rlogin-ing to an idle sun (I assume no suntools or lockscreen) and running the test. As I recall, the Sun 3/50 does not have its own frame buffer, so the screen access must slow down all memory access? All of the other Suns have a dedicated frame buffer.
