Message-ID: <3202@phri.UUCP> Date: 19 Mar 88 22:54:47 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: Public Health Research Institute, NYC, NY Lines: 14 Approved: telecom@xx.lcs.mit.edu An extememly bizarre thing happened to me the other day. My phone rang and when I picked it up, what I heard was the sound of a remote phone ringing (as if I had placed a call and was waiting for the other party to pick up). After a few seconds, I heard what sounded like somebody picking up the phone but (after a few very confused moments) it was obvious that the person on the other end was somebody who had just placed a call and was surprised that I wasn't the person she had called. Anybody have any idea what might have happened? -- Roy Smith, {allegra,cmcl2,philabs}!phri!roy System Administrator, Public Health Research Institute 455 First Avenue, New York, NY 10016
