Is it possible to get more than one default mode for a file.  
For example, for nroff files I want nroff-mode as well as auto-fill-mode.
What I have done is append to the alist so that nroff files will
automatically come up in nroff-mode and then I just execute auto-fill-mode.

Please mail me any solutions.  I will summarize and post to the net.
