We get people who dial into our system, play around a while, get into emacs, and just hang up without logging off. The modem hangs up, and their shell is killed, but emacs is still hanging around, and dtr doesn't come back up on the modems. I'm not sure if this is a problem exclusively in emacs, but that is the only place that I have noticed it. Does anyone have any ideas? Xev Gittler xev@hstbme.mit.edu, or xev@athena.mit.edu
