Can't you read English :-) But seriously, here is an alternative that should be available shortly (or so Addison-Wesley keeps telling me :-): An Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming and C++ Richard Wiener and Lewis Pinson, U of Colorado, Addison-Wesley Although, I have not seen this book the description that Addison-Wesley handed out at OOPSLA'87 this past fall indicated that it may be more appropriate than Bjarne's book for an introductory level programmer.
