I received my requisition back from the purchasing department early this
afternoon (March 25th).  The purchaser had called the local store that I
recommended and found out that it would be two weeks before it would be
released.  This time frame matches what Dennis Ritchie wrote.

i.e.
Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!
