The previous two attempts have ended up in /dev/null. I believe it never made it to INFO-VAX since I haven't seen the message (and our mail feed seems to be ok). Please substitute the expression 'about two months ago' for each occurence of 'this morning' in the following text. Hi; I have spent the better part of this morning trying to come up with a scheme that accounts for PSI X-29 access. My question... is there an easy way to associate X-29 accounting records in the PSI accounting file, to interactive session records in the system's accounting file? Has anyone written a program to accomplish this task? Is there a commercial package to accomplish this task? Actually, a commercial package is probably too elaborate since all I want is a facility to account for individual X-29 usage, and not a facility to charge for it. For the past few months I have been running a modified version of the PSI_CHARGING example provided in SYS$EXAMPLE:. The charging program is fine for determining who's using the mail system, and dialing out from our VAX, but it leaves something to be desired for accounting for incoming X-29 sessions (PSI attributes all charges for incoming X-29 sessions to the account that the DECNET X-29 object is running under). I should point out that restricting reversed charged, incoming X-29 calls is unacceptable. Thanks! Bruce W.
