Now, please do not misunderstand. I am very well aware that FDL can be used to edit it to whatever and then use the convert/fdl. However, *MY* question is, can you change the attributes of an existing file? The CONVERT will create a *NEW* file with the *NEW* characteristics/attributes. Any attempt to COPY/OVERLAY will fail because of incompatible attributes. I cannot really think of any specific example, or why I had wanted to do this. Perhaps it was a disk quota limitation or some such thing. Anyways, I am just curious if it is at all possible.
