See "TCP Checksum Function Design", IEN45, by Bill Plummer of BBN; the data was almost 10 years ago-- June 1978. Bob Braden Are there references to IEN45 in the IP/TCP/UDP specs? If not, there probably should be. As someone who once was looking for the definition of the checksum algorithm, I can say that a pointer to IEN45 would have been useful.
