In my last IPC message I said that only pointers should go in the pointer field of the IPCItem structure. That was totally bogus... you should be able to put RastPorts, Locks, anything in there. But you still need to be able to let IPCGateways know about them if they can do anything with them. How about this. If the size feild is zero, then that means "Mind your own business, Spock, I'm sick of your half-breed interference".
