Carreiro) Organization: Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lines: 28 Summary: What if there's already memory in it? What happens if someone has an A2000 with a memory expansion already in it. Then you plug the uncased 2 Meg Starboard II (using the new Microbotics adaptor ) into another Amiga slot. Will the StarBoard configure correctly, leaving you with .5 Meg CHIP and 4.5 Meg FAST. Also, when the SBII is plugged intp the A2000 using the adaptor, does it hang over and block the other slots? Also, will the SCSI driver that goes on the A1000 StarBoardII (the StarDrive?) work when the SBII is put in an A2000? Finally, and this may seem like a stupid question, what does an A2000 person do if the slots get filled? The A2000 has 3 PC slots and 4 Amiga slots plus a CPU slot (am I correct?). Now what if somone has memory boards in two slots, a bridgeboard in place, and a hard drive card. That fills all the Amiga slots. Now the accelerator board comes out. Where do you put it? In general, what do you do on the A2000 to get more expansion. And lastly, how is the A2000 custom chip upgrade going to go? Are boards replaced? Are the chips just socketed and merely have to be changed? In a similar vein, how do the KickStart/Workbench upgrades work for the A2000? Can you do it yourself, or do you have to bring it in? And the final, final question, if you have an A2000 and 1.2, how can you boot under 1.1? And once you go to 1.3, how can you boot under 1.2? Thanks in advancefor any answers! ******************************************************************************* * Richard L.
