I'd like to see a 6 to 8 MHz 65816 running under the hood of my GS. I'd like to have cleaner sound output (presently there seems to be a lot of weird noises, pops and whines coming from somewhere). I'd like to see at least 32 colors on screen in 320x200 mode. Interlacing would be nice. I think the flicker can be reduced if there are similar colors on adjacent scan lines, so black and white text screens would look much nicer...I would like to see relocatable graphic memory OR a blitter. As for difficulty in implementing new GS graphics modes, everything is already so jumbled up that sneaking a few more modes into the machine would probably not be too big a pain for the programmer. One mode I would like to see is a plain monochrome mode, for example 640x200 black and white in 16K. I wish they would move the display memory out of slow RAM. Another interesting feature might be linearized double hires or "classic" hires buffers. I might as well say "I wish the Apple was more like the Amiga", but it's that question of "loyalty" again.
