ProTERM is $80(?) while Kermit 3.82 is public domain (Columbia asks a VERY modest site license fee for commercial users; for academic an nonprofit use, it's no charge). If you can do with a fairly reasonable VT52 or VT100 terminal emulation and the transfer protocol, then Apple Kermit is all you need. Kermit supports the IIgs internal port, Super Serial Card, Microtek 622C, Apple Com Card, Micromodem (anyone still using 300 baud?), and most other serial cards. --------------------- Disclaimer: I like my opinions better than my employers anyway...
