Now I understand that the HP offices are sending the net as a convenience to their customers, but I would really like to see more. Personally, I am not interested in everything, but just because HP may not appear in the text, doesn't mean it is important to Unix users or to HP customers in general. I do not think the increased load would be that significant. If you are worried about phone bills, how about running compress first? It would save almost a factor of three in bytes sent. Instead of executing rnews with uuxqt, execute a shell script that does: compress -d | rnews I would like to at least see ALL of: comp.bugs.misc comp.bugs.sys5 comp.graphics comp.graphics.digest comp.laser-printers comp.mail.misc comp.mail.uucp comp.misc comp.newprod comp.os.eunice (we have eunice machines at our site) comp.os.misc comp.os.vms comp.periphs comp.sources.bugs comp.sources.d comp.sources.misc comp.sources.unix comp.sources.wanted comp.std.c comp.std.internat comp.std.misc comp.std.mumps comp.std.unix comp.sys.dec comp.sys.sun comp.sys.workstations comp.terminals comp.text comp.text.desktop comp.unix.questions comp.unix.wizards comp.windows.misc comp.windows.news comp.windows.x ------------- Roger N.
