Curiously, the manual says that | the board is Herc compatible, and provides 720Hx348V mono graphics. | ...and SIMCGA40 doesn't work. I get the problem of having only | pure white characters displayed. +---- I have one of these (from AMT - may they rot in ...) and it works wonderfully in herc mode; simcga3? works quite well on it too! Are you perchance expecting to see "grey" scales or different brightnesses for your "color" characters? The Hercules only gives you ONE bit plane which means either a dot is ON or it is OFF - no other brightness levels are avaliable. Turbo pascal 4.0, Turbo C 1.5, MSC W/3rd party herc support, and my own herc graphics routines all work well on the MGP (Mono Graphics Printer) card. The only problem I've found is that under a few circumstances, if you print the string "_^H, the cursor is not displayed correctly until another char is displayed on the screen... Not really a problem cuz it doesn't happen all the time, but strange. -John -- Comp.Unix.Microport is now unmoderated! Use at your own risk :-)
