I recently bought Logitech Modula 2 and came across another one, Logitech Point. This editor comes bundled with Logitech Modula 2 and Logitech mice. Either can be bought for under $100. The Point editor is terrific! It is the only program editor that I have seen that works with the mouse (perhaps I should say DESIGNED to work with a mouse, like Microsoft Word). It supports multiple, overlapping windows, either of the same or different files. Works in color and 43 line EGA mode. Has both a DOS shell escape and the ability to execute dos programs with standard output directed to a (newly created) window. Standard expected editor functions. Redefinable keys, menus and mouse button actions. While not as powerful as my "standard" editor Epsilon, it is quick and easy to use. I now only use Epsilon if I need its process window or extensive macro and searching ability (Point does no pattern matching and allows only a single macro). The editor when used with their Modula 2 (a language I am new to) provides builtin syntax checking, compilation, linking, execution, and program structure templates -- much nicer than Borland or Microsoft C's.
