I've just started using VersaTerm on my Mac II and have a question.
The two mainframes that I connect to both accept ctrl-S/ctrl-Q
entered from the keyboard to stop/start display output. This
is useful for viewing large files at 9600 baud. However, from
what I can tell, VersaTerm ignores the ctrl-Q when I type it.
It seems instead to want you to hit return to resume display
output. This causes problems on both of the mainframes I'm
talking to, in particular the Cyber, which locks up until it
receives a control-Q after you type a control-S. Does anyone know
what's going on. I've read the manual but I can find no mention
of "manual" flow control.

Other than this problem, I really like VersaTerm. It is the
only terminal emulator that actually allowed me to define a larger
than normal window for use as a terminal on a full page display.
I defined its window to be 80 cols by 60 rows and made a special
termcap entry called vtmac with these dimensions. Makes it really
nice using vi and vn...
