Message-ID: <994@aucs.UUCP> Date: 22 Mar 88 14:08:26 GMT Organization: School of Computer Science, Acadia Univ., Nova Scotia Lines: 16 I know this has been tossed around before, but back then I didn't have a Mac II. Now that I do, I of course want more than the 1M that I'm currently using. If I can acquire enough 256K SIMMs left over from Mac SE or Plus upgrades (I already have two), can I plug these into a Mac II to give me an extra meg? I've heard rumors that some people have tried it, and although the memory isn't fast enough (I think that was the argument), it does seem to work. Can anyone comment on this? I view this as only a temporary measure as I hope to upgrade to 4 or 5 meg a little later on. Is this a workable temporary upgrade? -- Peter Steele, Microcomputer Applications Analyst Acadia University, Wolfville, NS, Canada B0P1X0 (902)542-2201x121 UUCP: {uunet|watmath|utai|garfield}dalcs!aucs!Peter BITNET: Peter@Acadia Internet: Peter%Acadia.BITNET@CUNYVM.CUNY.EDU
