Sorry to post this to the net, but someone named "Becky" sent me a letter
and I lost her e-mail address...

(I assume you are referring to ResEdit.  There are other resource editors
around (e.g., REdit)

The best article I have come across is "ResEdit and REdit Explained",
on page 51 of the May 1986 MacTutor.  I also have hardcopy of a paper
called "ResEdit:  A Macintosh Resource Editor".  I'm not sure where
I got it from.
