A few days ago I posted a note mentioning that I though I had
run into a bug in Xterm (on a sun.) Now it looks like that is not the
case.  The problem was that some of the X distribution got
compiled with FLOAT_OPTION set to ffpa, and some of it got
compiled with fsoft.  (Two individuals with different 
.login scripts were involved.)  After recompiling everything
(with -fswitch) Xterm is much better behaved.
