I too have a 1200 baud GVC. I've experienced overheating problems, although not that quickly. However, I wanted to point out that this only applies when the modem is off-hook. If the modem is not being actually used but is just switched on, it doesn't heat up. This may be important if you want to be able to leave it on to receive calls. ajr -- If you had eternal life, would you be able to say all the integers?
