I believe that the 50% category is comprised of those who lease BMW's or
make monthly installment payments!
I purchased a new BMW in 1985 simply because I like the automobile and
to pamper myself while commuting.  I enjoy driving it as much (even more)
than when I first bought it.
I belong to the BMW CCA and the membership could care less about the model #!
As long as the BMW logo is on the hood, you are one of the gang!
For $30.00 a year, the membership fees are worth every penny.
Neighbors and people I work with *STILL* make comments about it, even though
it is 3 years old!
If they knew I had the pinkslip in my safety deposit box at the bank from
day #1 they'd be shocked!  I think they are all waiting for it to be 
repossessed or something!  :-) :-)
Guess I better buy a car with TURBO, 4WD, EFI, LS, SOL or SOB stencilled
on the fenders and trunk in tacky grey paint ala DEEtroit or Yapan!
Next time you run into a 3XX, 5XX, or 7XX ask if it leased or financed!
