It's an interesting attempt in the general direction you describe. Would it be IK to post your note to MOLECULAR-EVOLUTION? I wouldn't mind starting a fight or two. I also think it's unlikely that *anything* other than Dr. Who's Tardis would allow "the detection of evolutionary relationships objectively".
