The Turbo C source code is included, so you We need a moderator!! What exactly is the "ever-popular" DRAIN "utility"? Or do you think I should take a piece of software from the net, having no idea what the hell it is going to do, and just run it on my PC? I assume it does more than just play with your prompt, and that this is what you enhanced over the usual "ever-popular" DRAIN. I looked at the C source and it appears to drain water from a disk. Informative. Is this a program to coalesce (sp?) unused blocks? A program to re-organize the FAT? Maybe it is more extensive and will in the process of running trash data on my disk? Just what *does* it do? Every posting should have a short blurb telling what the program(s) included in the posting actually do. Not all of us have been immersed in the PC world since we were 12; we may well not know what the "ever-popular" XYZ is. Please, if all you want to do is flame me or just tell me the answer to my question ("what does DRAIN do?"), do it via e-mail to keep from cluttering up this group -- thanks!
