I recently dug up an old archived copy of ADVSYS and got it up and running.
The welcome message (ie. define welcome "Welcome to Adventure") prints
and i get a prompt, but the interpreter will not act on any commands that
supposedly it knows about.

>look
>north
>hello
I don't know what "hello" means. (or some such message)
>quit
Do you really want to quit? y

Has anybody else run into this problem? Solutions/suggestions are welcome.

p.s. wasn't there a file called "basic.adi" included with the package?
i seem to recall there being a line of the form "@basic.adi" in the
file sample.adv, but the drugs have destroyed most of my mind and i can't
remember...
