This sounds like the perfect place for /rdb. It is a set of relational tools that is totally integrated into the Unix shell, and thus involves little extra learning for users. It is good for small, adhoc, user supported databases. Discalaimer: I've only read the manual for /rdb. For all I know, it doesn't work. lee
