I would do my best to compile a list, either from suggestions e-mailed to me at one of: anderson@vms.macc.wisc.edu anderson@wiscmacc[.bitnet] [backbone]!uwvax!vms.macc.wisc.edu!anderson or from postings carrying the subject line "Getting Wise About Type" in this newsgroup. What would be best is Author, Title, Publisher, Date and a 2-3 line terse comment on the content/value of each title. Let's try to limit it to first-rate books that are fairly readily available. I'll collect data for three weeks (I'll be out of town 4/28-5/5), then post what I have accumulated by then.
