Jay Garvin makes several points that I agree with.  I see no reason why
people should be intimidated out of asking apparently simple questions here.

Besides, if given a choice between having this group filled with
simplistic questions or having it filled with a lot of arrogant
flames saying "you should have put that in ...newuser", I'll
take the questions anytime.
