I know a lot of work has been done in this area by Xerox but I do not have the specific papers on it. Also I am interested in finding references to work done on striping (using several physical disks as one logical disks so files are smeared and/or interleaved across several volumes for throughput increases). much thanks. -jrg Everything I say is the precise view of my employer but, has not the slightest thing to do with Apple Computer Corp.
