Has anyone tested repeated reads? This is probably more critical than a write/read test since I assume error correction and skipping bad spots occurs normally under write/read. Attempting to restore the same file 100 times, however, would be a better indication of tape reliability. (I lost the posting referred to above.) Paul Lansky Music Dept Princeton Univ.
