As you may have already heard, the DDN Network Information Center
("the NIC") has many of the RFCs and IENs online at SRI-NIC.ARPA.  The
famous IEN 45 is now there as well in IEN:IEN-45.TXT.

They are available either through anonymous FTP (log in as "anonymous"
with password "guest") or through our automatic mail request program
called SERVICE.  Mail requests to SERVICE@SRI-NIC.ARPA and indicate in
the subject field the RFC or IEN number, as in "Subject: IEN 45" .
"Help" in the subject field gives you a help file on SERVICE.
