Recent interfacing problems between my A500 and external Pro-drive led me to find a small quirk. It seems that when my printer is connected (via parallel) but NOT powered-on, my external disk drive will not function properly. However, with the printer on, the entire system works flawlessly. I don't know for sure, but I suspect this 'quirk' is either a result of the A500's weak power supply or something with the printer... So, if you or someone you love is having system problems that appear to be power-related, try leaving that printer on. It could save lots of frustration... -Bryan
