I had the same problem. Your parallel cable is wrong. If your cable was set up for an A1000 it WILL NOT WORK on an A500. You need to delete two lines, If i remember correctly one of them is to pin 25 on the A500, the other i forget. If you can't get it email me and i will take my connectors apart. This A500 power supply business is a shame. Wonder how many non-power-related problems are attributed to the power supply? -- ron (rminnich@udel.edu)
