I need, however, something that can't really wait for things to settle down and get implemented. As the last recourse, I'll have to code it, but first ... What I need, essentially is something like VT100 with some csh- or rexx- like language built in or able to interact with the terminal session. I need to build complex macros to process information on the host to which I'm attached. The macro languages built into VT100 or other PD packages I've seen just don't cut it. So a request - what's available that would solve my problem?? PD preferably, but barring that some package or packages that are reasonably priced. I'm getting by on a proverbial shoestring as it is. Has anybody done a terminal emulator that has a good set of transfer protocols (or external hooks for same) that either has a powerful shell language built in or will interface to Arexx or some such?? Thanks much. Either Email or Usenet response will do. -- -randy groves - Boeing Advanced Technology Center UUCP: ..!uw-beaver!uw-june!bcsaic!randy USNail: Boeing Computer Services CSNET: randy@boeing.com PO Box 24346 M/S 7L-68 VOICE: (206)865-3424 Seattle, WA 98124
