I believe that _Prodos_Inside_and_Out_ will take care of what you desire.
This book is written by Dennis Doms and Tom Weishaar (Tom is the author
of the infamous and excellent Open-Apple magazine/newsletter).

In the Preface, they explain that the book really should have been named
"Basic.System under Prodos" or somesuch.  If you can find a copy, just
check the table of contents.  That should tell you in a quick minute
whether that will have in it what you are loooking for.
