Perhaps you could disable the voltage supplied by one of the IIgs's to
the keyboard...?  Or modify the keyboard so that it does not pass through
the voltage it receives from both ends..?  

Probably the latter if at all, since keyboards can be had separately (and
much more cheaply than CPU's).
