At last an easy question! > DOES ANYONE KNOW OFF OR HAVE A PROGRAM > THAT SIMULATES A METRONOME USED > TO KEEP TIME FOR MUSIC. Try this little BASIC program for this purpose: 100 ? "BEATS PER SECOND";:INPUT B 105 ? "TOCK SOUND";:INPUT TP 110 T=400/B:REM USE 447 FOR OMNIVIEW 120 SOUND 0,TP,10,15:SOUND 0,TP,10,11:SOUND 0,TP,10,7:SOUND 0,TP,10,3 130 SOUND 0,0,0,0 140 FOR I=1 TO T:NEXT I:GOTO 120 You can try different values of TP for the "Tock Sound". This controls the tone pitch that is used in the metronome sound. A value of about 40 seems good to me, giving a kind of "woody" sound, while small values around 3 or 4 seem more "metallic" to me. If you pick a sound you like best you can replace line 105 with a statement that just sets that value, e.g. TP=40. Enjoy! -John Sangster / jhs@mitre-bedford.arpa
