It was the battery pack. The 110 shuts off when the battery voltage gets too low. The % indication is just a rough estimate of use remaining and can't compensate for a weak battery. I won't swear to it, but I bet a new battery pack would give a lasting "cure". Clay Scott clay@hpfcla
