I'm looking for some general installation info on the drive, since I don't have a manual. Drive was removed from an out-of-service DEC Rainbow 100B. Does someone out there know the correct dip jumper setup (on the on-board controller) for this to be a second drive in a PC? There is currently one trace in the dip jumper cut. Drive will be used with a Western Digital controller. Any special problems to be aware of when doing a low-level format, etc? Also, am I correct in assuming that I'll need a 'double-header' control cable as well as a second data cable? Thanx for your advice Gene -- Gene McManus @ Defense Logistics Agency Systems Automation Center, Columbus, OH 43215 (614) 238-9403, Autovon 850- UUCP: {uunet!gould,cbosgd!osu-cis}!dsacg1!gmcmanus The views expressed are my own, not those of The Agency, or Dept. of Defense
