I just acquired a Victor 9000 for my collection of obsolete computer systems (:-) and I'm wondering if anybody can tell me what I can do with it (besides the usual boat anchor). It's quite a strange beast for something that runs MS-DOS (I got a version 1.25 with it). It uses its own disk for- mat, it has a compleatly different keyboard and, according to CHKDSK, there is something like 96K of RAM! Can I add more RAM? can I put in normal disk drives? can I use a normal keyboard? can I use a modern DOS version? can I install a hard disk? Is there a user group or other organisation that might still support this system? Any information really appreciated. Please mail. Thanks. -- John Wright ////////////////// Phone: 902-424-3805 or 902-424-6527 Post: c/o Dr Pat Lane, Biology Dept, Dalhousie U, Halifax N.S., CANADA B3H-4H8 Cdn/Bitnet: lane@cs.dal.cdn Arpa: lane%dalcs.uucp@uunet.uu.net Uucp: lane@dalcs.uucp or {uunet, watmath, utai, garfield}!dalcs!lane
