Govindaraj) Newsgroups: comp.sys.mac Subject: 256 Kbit SIMMs for sale, I think :-) Keywords: 256 K SIMMs, Mac II, Memory upgrade Message-ID: <32001@gt-cmmsr.GATECH.EDU> Date: 3 Apr 88 13:03:19 GMT Distribution: na Organization: Center for Man-Machine Systems Research - Ga Tech Lines: 26 Now that 1 MBit SIMMs are available at our bookstore, I am thinking of upgrading my Mac II to 8 MB if I can vacate the space occupied by four of the 256 Kb SIMMs. I have had my Mac II for a little over 100 days. (I was lucky to get my machine, and hence an extra 4 MB before the DRAM shortage became a problem. Now I can buy 1 Mbit SIMMs (National Semiconductor) from the bookstore. Sorry, I can't buy them for someone outside of Ga Tech :-( ). I would like to sell my 256 Kbit SIMMs, if (1) I can still buy the 1 Mbit SIMMs in the next couple of weeks, (2) I get a reasonable offer for the 256 Kb SIMMs, and (3) I can find enough money in my account to make up the difference. Please e-mail a reply if you are interested. govind For those of you who may be unfamiliar, the faster (120 ns) SIMMs can be used on the Mac Plus or SE. -- T.
