I don't think there were any Tech Notes between Nov 87 and now.  (I don't
know why there was this large gap.)

Here is a summary of the April batch.  I'm sure that the files will appear
on Usenet; you should use these summaries as a guide to what the Tech Notes
contain, and consult the actual files for more information.

#184 Notification Manager
	New in 6.0 System; provides asynchronous notification to the user.
The interface is much different than early drafts of Inside Mac vol 5.

#185 OpenRFPerm: What your mother never told you
	What happens if another application under MultiFinder has a resoruce
file open already.

#186 PBLock/UnlockRange
	These are only implemented on shared volumes.  

#187 Don't Look at ioPosOffset
	ioPosOffset is not updated by the Read and Write calls

#188 ChangedResource: Too much of a good thing.
	ChangedResource reserves disk space every time it is called.  If you
calling >1 time, then too much disk space will be reserved.  

#189 Version Territory
	Finder 6.1 is going to support a real version resource for files,
which will be displayed in the Get Info box.  There is also support for
assigning a version to a set of fils (eg, a system software release).

#190 Working Directories and MultiFinder
	MultiFinder overrides the ioWDProcID with your process ID and closes
working directories when the application terminates.  The number of working
directories is limited, so you should close them as soon as possible.

#191 Font Names
	Recommends that applications save font names rather than numbers
(except for System front and application default font).

#192 Surprises in LaserWriter 5.0 and newer
	Several changes to LaserWriter 5.0 that have caused problems for
some applications.

#193 So many BitMaps, so little time
	How to convert a bitmap into a region.

#194 WMgrPortability
	If you must draw outside a window, how to do it to cause the least
problems.
