There is still a company advertising in Sextant or REMark that sells
the ZDS Z-217 Winnie Controller Set (S-100 + Data Sep) for $500+ or so.
I would look into the CDR SCSI board that claims 100% hardware compatibilty
with the Z-217 and put a SCSI drive on it like the Seagate ST-225N.

Buys the reject Z-217 card sets from the ZDS junk dealers (~=$100/set)
and repairs and burns them in (notorious for thermal problems) and
sells them for $150.00 gaurenteed.   He does excellent work.   Rumor
has it that he works at Heath as a repair tech or something.
