This program translated word processor files (WordPerfect, MS Word, Wordstar 2000, Multimate, Samna Word, Displaywrite 3, . . .) into the equivalent troff files. It was available for MSDOS. When I tried to call the company, I was told that it had been bought out, and they new company had dropped Softype. Does anyone know if another company has taken it over, or if there are any similar programs on the market? DCA-to-troff would be an acceptable alternative. Paragraphing, fonts, headers, and indented lists are the major items needed. The program should run on an MSDOS machine, as uploading wp files is a nuisance, but a UNIX (VAX) version would be usable if there are no PC programs.
